Pro Tips

#1 Buy Online in Advance

Skip the Registration line and go directly to Will Call to pick up your badge. Even better, those who pre-register will also be able to pick up their badge or wristband at the hotel Friday night and skip Will Call altogether to make the process as easy as possible. You can register on your phone or computer right now!

#2 Get a Room!

Even if you’re local to the con, getting a room at the hotel is a wise idea. Writing workshops, film panels, and fun evening options go on fairly late. You have better access to the activities and will feel better if you don’t have long drives to begin and end each day. The BLHCT room block is discounted to make this easy for you.

#3 Follow the Best Little Horror Convention in Texas on Social Media

Connect to us and to Texas’ creative community by following us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Our social media platforms will give you updates and news you need to know.

#4 Sign Up for Notifications

When you buy tickets you will be automatically included in BLHCT email newsletters providing you with timely announcements and useful information. If you just want to sign up for notifications, go here.

#5 Wear Comfortable Clothes

Attending BLHCT can make for long but rewarding days. We suggest dressing comfortably and wearing walking shoes.

#6 Drink Plenty of Water and Don’t Forget to Eat!

First-time convention goers sometimes get so caught up in the activities that they forget to eat or drink. Please be mindful of this and make sure that you eat and stay hydrated.

#7 Be Prepared to Network

While this definitely is an event for any fan of horror or the supernatural, there will be a lot of writers, filmmakers, and other professionals in attendance. You might very well be one of them. Be prepared to network; bring something to write on as well as a supply of business cards or other contact materials.
